Crypto trading / First steps

First steps

Hi dear trader. We are happy to see you here!
Things may look complicated but they are really simple, to start trading you need to set up only two things.

1. Set up trailing a stop-loss strategy

2. Set up a strategy group

3. Make your first deal

How to set up a trailing stop-loss strategy?

1. First, locate in sidebar Trailing stop-loss

2. Create your first trailing stop-loss method and name it the way you like and the way you will remember this strategy.

3. Add new stops to this method

 * Trailing stops example: For example, you make a deal and the deal now is +0.5% but after a few moments it goes higher and it is now for example 1.5%. In this scenario, if you would like to lock a profit of 1%. you would have to add a new stop 1.5% activate stop and 1.00 % place trailing stop loss. You can add several steps, also for example if you want to lock target on 2% you can add activate stop on 2% and place stop at 1.9%, etc.

We recommend using multiple trailing stop-loss strategies for small and quick profits, and also a strategy for higher profits with wider stops. For example 5% to 2% and 10% to 7% etc.

How to set up strategy groups?

Strategy groups are default presets for each of your deals you will make. The strategy group is also used for balancing your budget. Make several strategy groups, one for small targets, one for larger targets, etc.

1. To add a strategy group located in the sidebar Strategy groups
2. Add a new strategy group

You will find several fields the first one is How much you want your group to use capital on trades. For example, you have 1000$ worth of BTC in your account. And you want to use only 300$ for this strategy, so add 300 in groups capital.

Next is how much % of group capital a deal can take. Keep in mind there are minimum trade amounts each exchange has. Let's say you write in 10 this means that each deal will take 10% of group capital meaning 30$ but you can have a maximum of 10 open deals.

If you write in  33 this means a group will have a maximum of 3 open deals with 100$ each deal.

The next parameter is how much to increase group capital from a successful trade. Let's say you made 10$ on a deal and you want to add 5$ to the group's capital to increase deal size on the next deals. Then write in 50, if you want to increase all profit to the group's capital write in 100. Meaning all attained profit will go to increase group capital.

The next settings are default values. Here you just fill in the trailing stop-loss method that the group will use. You fill in all these details so when you start making a deal you don't have to fill them over and over again.

However, you can make those changes whenever you make a deal.

Note: To make live deals you need to add an API key. If you don't have an API key you have to make it in your exchange. But you can use our simulation environment to see how you would trade as if in real life mode.

To make the first deal, open Charts on the sidebar and top of the chart you will see + Create a trade. Click on it and you will see your setup already filled. You can change the values as you like.

By unclicking Buy instantly you will see new features as buying lower, or buy higher, these are useful if you want to trade on breakouts or support areas.
